HMKV receives the ADKV-ART COLOGNE Award for Art Associations 2017
We are celebrating! The 2017 ADKV-ART COLOGNE Award for Art Associations goes to the HMKV! An independent jury selected HMKV to be the winner of this year’s 8.000 Euro award. The Prize will be awarded together with the ADKV-ART COLOGNE Award for Art Criticism on Friday, 28 April 2017, at 3 pm during the art fair ART COLOGNE. More on kunstvereine.de

HMKV nominated for the 6th time for the ADKV-ART COLOGNE Award for Art Associations
HMKV has been nominated for the sixth time for the ADKV-ART COLOGNE Award for Art Associations (after 2007, 2008, 2011, 2013 and 2014)! We are celebrating this together with all the other 20 nominees and are looking forward to the award ceremony on 28 April 2017 ... More here!

alien matter at HKW in Berlin in the framework of thirty years of transmediale - ever elusive
From 2 Feb to 5 March 2017 and in the framework of thirty years of transmediale - ever elusive the exhibition alien matter is on view at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin. Curated by Inke Arns, the exhibition presents 17 works by 30 Berlin-based and international artists dealing with the topics of Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Infrastructure and Plastics. During the fmal weekend, Laurie Anderson will give two concerts (Language of the Future, 4./5. März)!

HMKV's 2017 amazing programme
2017 is going to be a year full of surprises. The World Without Us will be on view until 5 March. On 7 April we will be opening our exhibition on Brutalism which will be on view throughout the summer (in parallel to Documenta in Kassel and skulptur.projekte Münster). On 20 October our Afro-Tech project will open with a gradiose festival. On the occasion of a special centennial we will be opening, on 24 November, two exhibitions in parallel on Level 6: The Storming of the Winter Palace and The Border - two exhibitions on the beginning and the end of the USSR. In the summer of 2017, two of our exhibitions will be touring internationally: Whistleblowers & Viglantes will be presented in Copenhagen while The World Without Us will travel to Ljubljana.
