Ghost Detector (2005)
Modified electronic devices and wire, 1994-2005
A Ghost Detector is a musical instrument built by ‘hacking’ any
electronic device that generates sound. Random lengths of wire
are connected to randomly chosen places on its circuit board. The
device becomes unstable and responsive to slight influences. A larger Ghost Detector can be built by randomly interconnecting several
such individual devices. Visitors are free to walk around the Ghost Detector network. Their bodies, or even their moods, might affect
the sonic output.
