On 24 June, all over the Ruhr region, ExtraSchicht. The Night of Industrial Culture 2023 will take place. The HMKV is offering the following programme items as part of this event.

The multimedia exhibition by the Dortmund artists Jana Kerima Stolzer and Lex Rütten We grow, grow and grow, we're gonna be alright and this is our show performs a radical change of perspective: it looks at the world from the point of view of non-human organisms to which we usually do not attribute consciousness. The artists give these beings and things a voice. The duo speculates on existing and future symbioses between microorganisms, plants, animals, bacteria, fungi and technical objects. It is about new kinds of cycles and alliances in nature - in the age of the Anthropocene.

HMKV in the Dortmunder U | Level 3, Workshop Room
The exhibition Jana Kerima Stolzer & Lex Rütten - We grow, grow and grow, we're gonna be alright and this is our show deals, among other things, with our unique nature. In the HMKV workshop we will cut amber into pendants. Amulets are made from the fossil resin, which is over 40 million years old.
