A film programme by sixpackfilm, Vienna.

17:45 - 19:00
Film avant-garde in Austria - Program 2 (1996-1998) shows a selection of 16mm films from the 1990s, among the works films by film directors of the so called 'third generation' (Dietmar Brehm, Gustav Deutsch and Lisl Ponger) as well as two representatives of the youngest generation (Thomas Draschan, Elke Groen). Most of the films work with found footage. A film programme by sixpackfilm, Vienna.

Manu Luksch: Faceless, 2007, 50 min.
The Austrian video artist Manu Luksch has performed, over several years, in front of video surveillance cameras in London's public space. 16:00 - 17:15
Peter Weibel - Depiction is a crime - Video Works 1969-1975
Peter Weibel's (earlier works) (...) belong to the heroic years of a period of upheaval in which everything seemed possible in art. However, the artist not only made his appearance as a critic of public media but took the opportunity to presenting his own themes... (Hans Belting)

17:30 - 19:45
VALIE EXPORT - 3 Experimental Short Films (1970 - 1984) + Unsichtbare Gegner (1976)
Austrian artist VALIE EXPORT has been an influential and provocative figure on the international art scene for over three decades. Her practice includes film, video, photography, text and performance. Initially expanding the Actionist project to confront a complex feminist critique of the social and political body, her works achieve a compelling fusion of the visceral and the conceptual. (Electronic Arts Intermix) A film programme by sixpackfilm, Vienna.

20:00 - 21:00
Martin Arnold - The Cineseizure
The cinema of Hollywood is an cinema of exclusion, reduction and denial, a cinema of repression. There is always something behind that which is being represented, which was not represented. And it is exactly that that is most interesting to consider. (Martin Arnold) A film programme by sixpackfilm, Vienna.
